1.  The NIST Alumni Association consists of graduates and former students who have attended  the School for at  

     least one year and who automatically become eligible as members of the association when they formally cease

     to be students.

2.  The objectives of the Alumni Association shall be to:

(a)    Organize for its membership forums or activities that provide spiritual and academic stimulation;
(b)    Provide its members with encouragement through periodic fellowship;
(c)    Promote among potential students the benefits of study at the School;
(d)    Engage in fundraising for the development of the School;
(e)    Promote the reputation and well-being of the School;
(f)     Make suggestions to the Academic Council in relation to the development of academic programmes;
(g)    Engage in such other activities, consistent with the Charter and Statutes, as will advance the interests of the

         School;
(h)    Discuss any matters relating to the School and transmit resolutions on such matters in accordance with

         Section 36 of the Charter.
