MOL is designed for professionals leading in the private and public sectors, non- governmental organizations (NGO’s), community-based organizations (CBO’s), churches and para-church organizations. It equips the student with advanced knowledge and skills in transformational leadership for organizations by being God Centered and culturally relevant.

Duration: 2 Years – 55 Credit Hours

Core Modules include:

· Leadership History, Theory and Praxis

This course explores the development of leadership theory as an academic discipline from the Great Man and traits theories to transactional vs. transformational dynamics between leaders and followers. The student’s knowledge and skill related to leadership in today’s multiple global contexts.

 

· Leading Change

This course equips the leader to lead the organization in such a way that change is not only addressed but embraced as a positive process in the pursuit of the organizational vision and mission.

 

· Leading Across Cultures

   The purpose of this course is to equip the student for leadership within multi-cultural    organizations in a variety of global contexts.  Understanding dimensions of culture and the role of culture in determining values and behavioral norms will enable the student to effectively embrace differences and mobilize effective multi-cultural teams to pursue common vision and goals.

 

· Personal Leadership Development

This course focuses on character and skill development in the life of the individual leader, from both a personal and public context. Personal call/vocation, values, gifts, temperament, resource management, priorities and decision-making skills will be explored and developed.

 

· Organizational Communication and Leadership

This course examines the theoretical and practical underpinnings of organization structure, leadership and communication. It examines the effects of communication and leadership styles on different internal and external relations and how effective communication enhances an organization’s chances of success.

 

· Foundations of Organizational Leadership and Culture

This course is establishes the knowledge of the principles and concepts of organizational leadership and culture. The class will include organizational process and problem solving, integration of faith and cultural dynamics.
