International Leadership University/NIST Library
A Profile of an ICT Library Assistant
The purpose of the position


Under the directions of the Head Librarian, manage and provide leadership in acquisitions, management, distribution and access of electronic resources. This entails ensuring that all infrastructures that sustain e-resources are functional throughout.

Specific Responsibilities
1.    Assist patrons both with and offsite campus to access Library’s information resources
2.    Ensure that networks, connectivity and all computing devises are functional and available for use
3.    Ensure that the Library’s Management System is functional and that its OPAC is accessible to both Faculty and students onsite or remotely.
4.    Capture, process and publish all institutional repositories using the relevant management systems in accordance to relevant policy
5.    Maintain the Library’s web-pages and keeping them updated
6.    Design models that will support e-learning and m-learning platforms
7.    Serve at the information and circulation desk including participation in opening and closing of the library as per the schedules which includes working on scheduled Saturdays.
8.    Work closely with the ICT department to access the relevant infrastructure that enhances library’s information services  
9.    Perform any other assignments by the Head Librarian.

Requirements
Experience of at least three years in a library environment offering technical support to the library
At least a Diploma in Information Technology, a degree will have added advantage
Innovative and committed to working within deadlines
Team player

STUDENTS RECRUITMENT AGENTS POSITIONS

Job Summary:

NIST/ILU wishes to engage dynamic, resourceful and self driven persons to spearhead recruitment of students into her Open and Distance Learning Mode Program for a period of three months with prospects of renewing the agency period.

Job Title: Students Recruitment Agents

Location: Nairobi & Environs

Reporting: ICL Director

Effective Date: 1st February, 2012

Duration: Three Months renewable

Responsibilities:

Recruit students into the Open and Distance Learning upon such terms and conditions as will be set out in the contract between the University and the Agent.

Commissions

The remuneration will be commission based on 2 levels of payment:
•    20%based on application fee
•    10% based on tuition only for that trimester.

Qualifications

•    First degree in any field
•    Must be a born- again Christian and a committed member of a local Church
•     Experience in sales & marketing  will be an added advantage

Skills and Competencies

•    Strong communication and PR skills
•    Self-driven and highly motivated
